Excellent financial year
for the Clyde Bergemann Power Group

Wesel/Germany, July 2007
The Clyde Bergemann Power Group posted a significant boost of operating profits in the last fiscal year. Compared to previous year, turnover increased by more than 30 percent to approximately US Dollar 300 million. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose considerably too. Driven by a worldwide strong demand for new building and refurbishment of fossil fired power plants, the company’s order intake hit an all-time peak.

With these results, the worldwide leading producer of equipment for the energy services market continues its success story. In the past three years turnover doubled and order intake grew even higher. In review, the development in the Chinese market proves to be a special highlight. The Chinese companies of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group gained a turnover increase by 70 percent and a strong improvement in operating profits during the last four years. The market position in China enhanced considerably, meanwhile 35 percent of total turnover is done there.

There is no need for the American and European divisions of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group to hide behind these strong figures. Also in these key markets two digit growth rates were obtained in the previous fiscal year.

Franz Bartels, President & CEO of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group, forecasts: “We expect to exceed the mark of US Dollar 500 million order value in the current year. We strive for an additional increase in turnover by more than 20 percent. In the course of our growth strategy, we have completed important acquisitions recently. The integration of the new companies goes according to plan.“
