Software modules as intelligent units continuously analyse and interpret data in real  time. They provide recommendations concerning …

  • WHERE
  • HOW
  • WHEN

to clean. These recommendations are forwarded to the decision level.

Two specialists for the boiler: SMART Furnace-FACOS & SMART Convection
Due to different process conditions within the boiler, the furnace and the convective  area require their own analysis units. With two correspondingly specialised analysis  centres, the SMART Furnace-FACOS and the SMART Convection, we ensure optimum evalutation of each deposit situation. This addresses the needs of an intelligent boiler cleaning system.

The task
SMART Furnace-FACOS and SMART Convection are continuously focused on the  changes of key process parameters. They have the task of recognising the necessary  cleaning actions for their area and defining the parameters regarding:

  • WHERE in the boiler is the deposit located?
  • HOW intensive has the cleaning to be?
  • WHEN is the best point in time to initiate cleaning?

The CLEANING MANAGER interprets the recommendations made from SMART Furnace-FACOS and SMART Convection and determines the optimal cleaning strategy to maximize boiler efficiency.

The preliminary work
All incoming data undergoes an evaluation stage in which the data is prepared,  checked for plausibility and the deposit state is calculated. For this calculation, the entire boiler is divided into individual zones. For each zone the current deposit situation is set in relation to a cleanliness benchmark.

The strengths of the system
Dividing of the boiler into zones is an important basis for the comprehensive flexibility  of CEOS. This enables selective identification of ...

  • sootblowers of individual levels
  • individual sootblowers
  • and even the cleaning parameters for single  sootblower travel
