Bergemann Power Group acquires Delta Ducon in the U.S.A

Wesel, May 2007
Delta Ducon is a leading supplier of dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems and has a strong position in the U.S. power market. Their product range includes Limestone Injection Systems, Fly and Bed Ash Systems as well as Sand Systems for PC fired and Fluidized Bed boilers. More recently Delta Ducon has been very successful with their Powder Activated Carbon injection systems to reduce mercury content in the flue gas.

Delta Ducon is headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania. The business will be integrated as Clyde Bergemann Delta Ducon (CBDD) into the Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas, an organisational unit of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group serving the markets in North and South America. CBDD will become the new center for the Group's materials handling business in North America and also assume responsibility for the Group's current material handling activities e.g. dense phase fly ash handling and conveying, wet and dry bottom ash systems.

In the coming months Delta Ducon plans to staff up from currently around 30 people in order to meet the growing demand for materials handling in the North America. Ron Tempesta will continue to lead Clyde Bergemann Delta Ducon and it's current team as President.

“The Clyde Bergemann Power Group has a world leading position in materials handling in Europe and Asia and now Delta Ducon is a perfect fit for our market approach and very significant for executing the Group's growth strategy for materials handling in North America. Delta Ducon with its market position provides an excellent platform to expand that important sector of business”, as Franz Bartels, President & CEO of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group, points out. And he adds: “In the US power market we are already leading in the  boiler efficiency and air pollution control sector and together with Delta Ducon we have the potential to achieve a leading position inmaterials handling too.”
