Job Title: Senior Control Project Engineer

Job Description: Perform electrical control system design, PLC programming, testing, simulation and troubleshooting for boiler on load cleaning systems. Configure HMI/SCADA systems for control systems operator interfaces & monitoring systems. Provide support during project execution, system integration & field start ups. Perform panel design and layout, bill of materials, and wiring schematics. Work on R&D projects. Make adaptations and modifications. Prepare project documentation including requirements, test procedures and instruction manuals. Responsible for coordinating external contact with customer engineers to discuss field changes, manufacturer sales representatives and service personnel and vendors to discuss new or modifications to existing equipment and resolve problems. Develop demonstration programs and participate in customer sales visits.

Education Requirements: Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering OR Bachelors Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering plus 5 years experience in job offered or as Principal Control Project Engineer.

Skills Required: All applicants must have at least 3 years experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, Compact Logix, SLC, MicroLogix), HMI/SCADA products (Wonderware Intouch, RSView32, RSViewME, RSViewSE and iFIX), Motion Control Technology (VFDs, Encoders, Servo Drives and Resolvers), Industrial Networks (Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus, DH+, DeviceNet, CAN, Ethernet Powerlink), Ladder logic, Structured Text and VBA.

 

Job Title: Performance Engineer:

Job Description: Work on research and development projects in the areas of heat transfer, thermodynamics, statistics and fluid mechanics applied to the Power industry and Pulp & Paper industry. Design, implement changes to resolve field problems and improve product performance: Provide support and technical expertise for product design process from idea stage to finalization: Supervise product implementation and project startup on-site. Conduct statistical analysis and analyze data. Plan performance guarantees for boilers to evaluate Return On Investment for customers. Provide support in steam generation/recovery process and provide customer updates through remote access monitoring. Write reports to support company products. Participate in conferences, etc. to promote advances in research and development, new products and tools for Pulp & Paper industry.

Education Requirements: Masters Degree in Paper Science Engineering. Requires a good understanding of the recovery process for the paper industry and a working knowledge of Ladder Logic. College level course work in Pulp & Paper Manufacturing required.
