Clyde Bergemann has developed a suite of products for SmartCleaning. The SmartControls™ system forms the core management platform for the system, providing process control, overview, reporting and alarming capabilities. It is a modular system, which provides flexibility to expand. Algorithms and processes for optimizing the cleaning process are executed here. SmartSensors™ in the furnace - combine with specialized algorithms - are integrated with a SmartControls™ system to give you local cleanliness information. This is then be used by the control system to actuate the specific cleaning device responsible for cleaning that area with the intensity and frequency required.
SmartControls™ provides various connection options for the plant DCS interface. The connection options include hardwired point to point or software connection over a variety of industry standard protocols (Ethernet, Modbus or RS 232). Clyde Bergemann will provide the sample graphic screens and memory data table from the SmartControls™ to establish the interface from the plant’s DCS.
HARDWARE: The hardware is comprised of the industrial programmable controller and a HMI. The programmable controller is the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC consisting of the standard Allen-Bradley rack system, power supply and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix CPU.
SOFTWARE: The Allen-Bradley ControlLogix application is written using the RSLogix 5000 software. It is fully annotated and cross-referenced. A hard copy and a digital copy of the logic are supplied with the manual. The HMI software is written in Wonderware’s Intouch software. The Wonderware Software is supplied with a Run time” license. Wonderware development software is available from Clyde Bergemann as an option.
Options:
Option 1 Maintenance Module: Sootblower maintenance module to monitor the motor current. This option will include two (2) current sensors to monitor the motor load.
Option 2 Variable Speed Control: A Variable Speed Module can be added to provide the ability to vary the retractable sootblower travel speeds from the operator interface.
Option 3 Variable Pressure Control: A Variable Pressure Module can be added to allow operators to adjust blowing pressures for individual sootblowers from the operator interface instead of at the sootblower poppet valves.
Option 4 SmartClean™ Intelligent Feedback Module using SmartSensors™: One ea. SmartClean™ Sensor Intelligent Module consisting of twenty four (24) SmartSensors™, two (2) SmartSensors™ Interface Module (DAQ panels), control software and design modules to communicate, manage and interface directly with the furnace cleaning system installed.
