With the most severe fouling and harshest overall conditions, the cleaning of recovery boilers requires the most severe duty equipment available. In many such applications, sootblowers must be operated more than 10-12 times per day, and the lances are exposed to the black liquor during insertion.

Special requirements are placed on the equipment to ensure maximum product life, and to provide optimal service throughout that product life. Concerns of ease of maintenance and access are paramount.
