German-based Clyde Bergemann once again conforms to the demanding SCC requirements for occupational safety
Wesel/Germany, August 2008
A complex re-auditing has been carried out by Clyde Bergemann in Wesel in order to renew SCC certification. The audit, which is required every three years, was presented to the specialist for on-load boiler cleaning systems and included a comprehensive checklist with questions concerning occupational safety, health and environmental protection. A detailed checklist was completed and its compliance was demonstrated during a live service operation at a customer’s site. In coming years, the adherence to safety rules will be checked at least once a year. The SCC certificate guarantees that mountings, installations and service for own and third-party boiler cleaning devices are carried out in line with the high safety standards. The auditing was completed by ”TÜV Nord” according to the latest regulations, effective from March 2006.
The SCC certification evaluates the occupational safety management system of companies carrying out work on third parties’ factory premises. The abbreviation ”SCC” stands for ”Safety Certificate Contractors”. Operators of large-scale steam generators tend to have a high safety demand, as accidents do not only incur direct and indirect costs, they also endanger the company image.
The SCC certificate confirms the adherence to safety standards at international level. Following this, it also raises legal certainty and eases the way to find the right contract party, which is particularly important for all persons in charge of occupational safety.
